SplashOut has an exciting opportunity available for a Production Team Leader to be based in Umhlanga, Durban. The successful incumbent will be responsible for effectively and efficiently manage the Finishing of Litho /Digital /Flexo production. Ensure that there is compliance with all policies and procedures and strict adherence to internal controls. Ensure production reporting is done accurately and timeously and contains appropriate content to enable effective decision making. Ensure maintenance and upkeep of the company’s machinery using the most cost-efficient maintenance processes. Knowledge of all finishing processes and the ability to set up such machinery. Guidance to be given to Operators on achieving optimal finishing standards. Working with team to achieve tasks is mandatory. Operations of various machinery will be a must. Ensure achievement of company’s strategic objectives, goal plans and targets. Support the Operations Manager with any ad-hoc requests as necessary.

Minimum requirements

• Valid South African Driver’s License                
• 2-3 Years Technical knowledge on Printing and Finishing
• 2-3 years management/supervisory experience

Responsibilities:

Financial metrics

• Review of daily, weekly, monthly reports on production from the Litho Team.
• Ensure efficient maintenance & planning solutions to minimize the company’s internal cost & company downtime.
• Effectively manage and report on downtime.
• Ability to work Flexible and long hours when required as per Business requirements 
• Effective management of the machinery using quality control checks, aging, running cost etc.
• Establish/implement internal controls to maintain and improve productivity.
• Identifying weakness accompanied by timeous corrective action.
• Management of operating costs and stock management.
• Forecasting/planning according to customer demands/events. 
• Effective management of the Team.
• Managing all production both internal and external.
• Quality check of prints, and Finished products.
• Professional customer interaction with the highest integrity.
• Ordering of materials / stock via stock controller.

• Creation and maintenance of roles and job descriptions and KPIs for your direct reports.
